- 5 / 5By Robert UrgoLooking for a taste of new york in the burbs? Schmaltz is where it's at. Self proclaimed as the Jewish Delicatessen for the rest of us they live up to the name. The sandwiches are over stuffed, the homemade bagel chips and pickles are top notch, and you can get a Dr. Brown's to wash it all down with. Get a black and white cookie and a knish to round out the meal and you will for sure be overstuffed too.
I come here every Friday for breakfast because the bagels are excellent and the lox are perfect. I know various new yorkers say it's a sin to toast a bagel but there is nothing better than a perfectly toasted everything bagel.December 04, 2016
